Philippine Pork Steak

The other version of Beef Steak or Bistek , this is an all-time favorite. For those who prefer pork, this is for you… fry, braise or grill… this is all ready to go-fast and easy. Marinated in soy sauce and spiced with garlic, Filipinos simply can’t resist to home-cooked aroma and taste. Serve or top with onions and rice… and voila!!!

Cooking Instructions

  • Thaw in refrigerator before cooking. Cook pork until it reaches an internal temperature of 155°F -160°F.
  • Panfry in oil until brown.
  • Braise & Top w/ Onion Rings.
  • Cook sliced onion rings in pan with 1/4 cup oil until transparent. Set aside. Add steak to cooking pan, Cook over high heat, until juices start to evaporate. Add 1/4 cup water and let boil. Cover and simmer on low heat for 10 mins or until tender. (Optional: On high heat, stir in 2 tsp flour mixed in 3 tbsp water, until sauce thickens). Transfer into a serving dish. Top with sautéed onions.
  • Add to stir fry, soups, and noodles for a delicious meal!!!
